Curt Mast Jägermeister Foundation

More than 80 years ago, Curt Mast (1897–1970) developed the inimitable recipe for Jägermeister – a moment that still defines the Lower Saxon town of Wolfenbüttel. But Mast’s legacy goes beyond the invention of his world-famous elixir. In 1957, he received the German Federal Cross of Merit for his lifetime commitment to the welfare of his native city.

In 2003, to commemorate the 125th anniversary of her father’s company, Annemarie Findel-Mast established the Curt Mast Jägermeister Foundation. Like the man who inspired its creation, the foundation supports central sectors of society in the city and the Wolfenbüttel region. To date, it has sponsored around 400 cultural, social, sports and environmental projects.
